George Scheeler
George holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and an MBA in Finance from the College of William & Mary. He began his career at Fortune 500 companies, including Citigroup and PHH Corporation, where he provided strategic financial solutions and led high-performing teams before advancing to executive roles.
He later served as Chief Financial Officer of FTI Consulting (Forensic Technology, Inc.), where he played a pivotal role in leading the company through its successful initial public offering. With over 40 years of experience, George has partnered with both major enterprises and growth-stage SMBs, steering expansion by reinforcing stability, implementing financial discipline, and securing sustainable long-term growth.
Michael Verderame
Before joining Acullence, Michael served as Chief Financial Officer for a venture capital group focused on real estate and hospitality. He oversaw financial operations for over 40 companies, optimizing operations across real estate brokerages, custom construction, hotels, resorts, and property management.
His experience spans diverse industries and operating models, positioning him to support clients across a wide range of sectors. During his tenure, Michael led the financial and accounting functions that supported the transformation of a boutique, seven-figure real estate and construction firm into a nine-figure real estate investment enterprise.

Our History
In 2012, our founder, George Scheeler, received an unexpected call from a friend seeking CFO services for an acquaintance’s business. Not long after, another call came in, this time from a different contact with a similar request. Several months and numerous calls later, George sat down with his wife to discuss what was unfolding. He asked her if she thought he should turn these referrals into a business. Her response? "It sounds like you already have."
And so, Acullence was born.
Over the past 13 years, Acullence has served a diverse range of industries, from construction and biomed research companies to insurance agencies and government contractors. As we look ahead to 2025, our experienced and versatile team is ready to expand our reach, offering CFO and accounting services to businesses in real estate, software, medical practices, home building, law firms, and beyond.
